Freelancing

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find [him], maybe you can hire...
... me.

I have a very particular set of skills. Skills acquired over a long career... Okay, enough of the TV & movie quotes and after being made redundant in October1 2020 I thought I'd put into motion an idea I'd been toying with for a while. I wrapped a bit more than a decade's combined experience of mathematics and the Heritage and Education sectors in a figurative red-and-white handkerchief, metaphorically hung it on the end of a non-literal stick, slung that over my allegorical2 shoulder and headed off to freelance land to seek my fortune.

The diagram above hopefully illustrates that my work concentrates on the intersection of three mystical arts: mathematics, education and heritage.

If you'd like to find out more, including what motivates and qualifies me to do the work I do, more specific detail about what I can offer, and a portfolio and testimonials relating to work already completed click the diagram or point your browser at tkbriggs.co.uk.

Tools for Freelancers

From time-to-time I realise I'm doing the same thing over and over again... and I decided to make a tool to do it quicker, often using a spreadsheet. I'll post the things I make here when I remember to do so. If you try any of them out and you think if only it did... just get in touch and let me know.
If you find yourself doing something repetitive and wonder if it might be better off as a spreadsheet, well, it never hurts to ask, does it?

  1. Happy birthday, me!
  2. Yes, there is a thesaurus in there, but it's travel-sized.
