A short while ago Carlos over at Neuromancer wrote a blog post detailing his Ten Books You Should Have Read, and then asked for suggestions from other people. I went one louder and wrote my own list, and then twisted his arm until he published it as a guest post.

I think everyone could write their own list, and each person would have very different contents and very different reasoning. Often a particular book will resonate with you at one point in your life, when if read 10 years before or after, it may not have done. I may well compile my own list. I fear however that it will not be as intellectually weighty as either yours or Carlos'.
